ROLUTIONIST PEACE INITIATIVES
Resolutionist Peace Initiatives were founded on the the belief that we can nurture and spread the common good by focusing on our strengths and improving on our accomplishments while learning from our mistakes. Here are a few small ideas that you can use to improve the peace in your community.
Resolutionists generate support for a good cause or otherwise increase the conditions for peace through many areas within social life with education and awareness plus action. Through our core programs, we propagate loving kindness and compassion for people in need. Join us!
Peace Gardens:
Grow One in Your Community!!
Peace Gardens are not only the places of beauty, but they can also be the fertile site for the developmentor areas where we can grow food to feed the hungry. Grow your own Peace Gardens and provide an experience for your community that nurtures a lifetime of respect for nature, an increased understanding for health and fellowship within the community.
Rally some magnificent volunteers who would like to provide their services to the community peace garden, and take pictures often! Once you have a beautiful and/or functional Peace Garden, other people will want to join! Some of them will come from the local neighborhoods, others from all over the country. They can help trim trees, turn ground, cultivate, plant seeds and seedlings, water the plants, pick up trash and perform makeovers in neighborhoods and parks, or just have great fun getting dirty and sharing peace and community. With a little help, you can create Peace Gardens in all for four growing seasons. For more information on how to create your own Peace Garden, contact us.
Peace Walks:
Leave a Peaceful Footprint!!
Resolutionist Peace Walks are a great idea for any community to get involved in. Peace Walks allow for greater participation of public walks as an exercise form, or for other peace and health consciousness development. Peace Walks can involve people of all ages, with a focus on walking in the beauty and power of nature and the miracles around them, improving their health, reducing their stress and making a connection with the world around them in a personal way. While walking, walkers can also engage in other forms of peacemaking service, such as picking up trash as they walk, leaving less of a footprint on the Earth and in their neighborhoods. Simply walking through the parks and streets of our communities fosters better relationships, awareness, participation and ownership.
